Torrian Bryant Oree, 21, was found dead alongside Interstate 20 in Lexington County, South Carolina in the early evening of March 23, 2021. An autopsy confirmed he had been shot multiple times. Oree was a father to a three-year-old daughter and is remembered by family as a cherished relative.

Investigators say Oree had been a passenger in a car with two 17-year-old males traveling east on I-20 when a disagreement inside the vehicle escalated and Oree was shot. He is believed to have either fallen or been pushed from the moving car onto the side of the interstate. Both teenagers were arrested and charged with murder; one sought hospital treatment for a gunshot wound, which led authorities to them. They were held at the Lexington County Detention Center.

The family announced plans for a youth foundation in Oree’s name. If anyone has information about the shooting or knew Torrian, please come forward.
