Timothy George Milliken, 45, was killed on the night of November 16, 2020, in Bluffton, South Carolina, after a prearranged meeting arranged online for sex in exchange for money turned violent. Milliken drove out of his gated Westbury Park neighborhood to pick up a 17-year-old, identified as Sarah Barr of Summerville, and a group of four returned to his home in a Nissan Altima that also contained Devante White and two men hidden in the trunk, Malik White and Jamal Coakley.

A struggle in the laundry room was captured on surveillance video, and Milliken was shot once. All four fled; first responders reached Milliken only after dealing with the family dog. Investigators located the vehicle in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and the four were arrested and charged with murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
