On March 29, 2020, Brian Thomas Brady, 47, his wife Krista, 42, and their 9-year-old daughter Teagan were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in their Drake Lane home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The deaths occurred on Teagan’s ninth birthday and followed reports from neighbors who heard several gunshots that afternoon.
Brian Brady was originally from West Virginia and had moved to the Myrtle Beach area with his family after work in the coal mines became scarce. In South Carolina he worked in construction as an electrician; friends described him as hardworking and capable, with past experience as an accountant and running a bar in West Virginia.
Horry County police investigators, citing preliminary findings and radio traffic, identified Krista Brady as the primary aggressor; no other suspects have been publicly named or arrested. Friends said Krista had been struggling with mental health issues in the period before the incident.
Did anyone in the community who knew the Bradys or saw activity on Drake Lane that day notice anything unusual that could help clarify what happened?
