A dispute at a Spartanburg, South Carolina tattoo parlor on the afternoon of December 23, 2019, ended in a fatal shooting that killed 25-year-old Christopher Devon Fowler. Witnesses at the West Oaks Square shopping center heard an argument that spilled outside the shop, a scuffle, and then multiple gunshots. Fowler was found critically injured, taken to a nearby hospital, and later died of his wounds.
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office investigators questioned an individual at the scene who was identified as the shooter, but authorities did not publicly release a name or announce any arrests in the days after the incident. Motive and the specific circumstances that led from the verbal altercation to gunfire have not been disclosed.
Does anyone have information about that afternoon at West Oaks Square or about Fowler’s movements before the shooting?
