A company Christmas party on December 20, 2019, at Southern Dreams Realty on Gantt Street in Lexington, South Carolina, ended in the death of 26-year-old Wesley James Warren-Camp. Police were called about 11:36 p.m. after reports of a shooting; Warren-Camp was found in the parking lot with a single gunshot wound to the chest and was later pronounced dead despite first aid attempts.

Earlier in the evening a physical fight broke out between Warren-Camp and his father, William Douglas Camp Jr. Other guests, including 46-year-old Glenn Wilbur Rowe Jr., intervened. An attendee, Calvin Lee Brown, fired shots into the air to disperse the crowd and left. As Rowe and his wife tried to leave, they were pulled from their vehicle and Rowe was severely beaten. Rowe seized a handgun while pinned and fired one shot that struck Warren-Camp.

The 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office later concluded Rowe acted in lawful self-defense and declined to charge him. Camp was arrested on second-degree assault and battery charges; Brown was stopped and charged with DUI, unlawful use of a firearm, and discharging a firearm within town limits. Does anyone have additional information about the sequence of events that night or knew Wesley Warren-Camp?
