A domestic dispute in Florence, South Carolina, turned fatal on the evening of December 6, 2019, when 44-year-old Antonio Bacote was shot at the Country Squire Mobile Home Park and died at the scene. The Florence County Coroner’s Office listed a gunshot wound as the cause of death, and an autopsy was completed at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Investigators focused on someone inside the household. Seventeen-year-old Khalil Shyheim Williams was arrested and charged with murder; he was booked into the Florence County Detention Center as the case moved forward. Reports described the shooting as the result of an altercation that escalated into lethal violence.
