Richard Tyriek Peoples, a 19-year-old African American man, was fatally shot in Bishopville, South Carolina, on the evening of November 23, 2019. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but went into cardiac arrest during transport and was pronounced dead at 9:46 p.m. Another young man was seriously injured in the same shooting.
