Michael Thomas McClarey was 27 when he was shot on Due West Highway in Anderson County on the evening of Thursday, February 7, 2019. He was taken to AnMed Health Medical Center and remained on life support for three days before dying of his injuries on Sunday, February 10, 2019. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office ruled his death a homicide.
