Robert Charles Heil, 32, was fatally shot and found in the yard of a Silver Moon Court residence in the Conway area of Horry County, South Carolina. The body was discovered on Friday, August 31, 2018; the coroner ruled the death a result of a shooting and investigators quickly determined the incident was not accidental.

Authorities described the event as a domestic situation and said they had identified the individuals involved, but no arrests were made in the immediate aftermath and the circumstances available to the public remained unclear. Robert, known as Robby, had lived in Conway about a year, worked in his father’s flooring business and was a self-taught guitar player.
