Two generations of a family were found murdered in their Anderson home after a niece checked on them when phone calls went unanswered. On May 6, 2018, 50-year-old Theresa Lucille Wright and her 79-year-old mother, Judith Hilley Calvert, were discovered in a bedroom on Overbrook Street. Both showed evidence of a violent struggle and sustained multiple injuries: beaten, stabbed, strangled and each shot in the head. The coroner estimated their deaths occurred late on May 5 or in the early hours of May 6.
Suspicion focused on a family member who lived in the house. Theresa’s 29-year-old son, Bradley Aldrich, who had been arrested separately on an attempted murder allegation and was in the Anderson County Jail when the bodies were found, was later charged in August 2018 with the murders of both women. Does anyone have information about the family, the neighborhood on Overbrook Street, or the days before May 5 that could help investigators?
