A night out at the P&R Club in Loris, South Carolina, turned deadly in the early hours of April 30, 2017. Around 2:30 a.m., a dispute that began inside the club moved outside to the parking lot and escalated into a gunfight. Laquint Oneil Boyd, 37, an aspiring R&B singer and father of young twins who lived in the Loris and Tabor City areas, was struck in the chest and taken to Loris Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at about 3:35 a.m. Several others were wounded and many patrons fled before police arrived.
Witnesses told investigators the exchange involved two men who began shooting at each other and that a club security guard also fired a weapon.
Is there anyone who knew Laquint Boyd or who can shed light on what led to that confrontation?
