Jonathan Palmer, 31, was killed on January 9, 2017, after being shot while in a vehicle in Townville, South Carolina. He was later found at a Shell gas station on Highway 24 with a fatal gunshot wound. Palmer worked as a handyman, welder, and for a moving company, and is survived by a fiancée and four children.

A suspect emerged quickly: the next day a 19-year-old, Joshua Deandre Webb, turned himself in to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and was arrested on charges including murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and a probation violation. Law enforcement says the shooting occurred inside the car both men occupied, but the motive and the sequence of events inside the vehicle have not been released.

Anyone who knew Jonathan, saw him that day, or has information about what happened inside the car is asked to come forward.
