Wayne Bennett, 26, was shot and killed on the evening of October 15, 2016, in the Adams Run area of Charleston County, near Hollywood, South Carolina. Shots were reported on Willtown Road; Bennett was driven by private vehicle to a St. Paul Fire Department station on Highway 162, then taken by paramedics to the Medical University of South Carolina trauma unit, where he was pronounced dead soon after arrival.

Charleston County deputies found Bennett’s pickup off the road, having struck several mailboxes and come to rest against a tree. The engine was running and the truck was in gear. Investigators noted multiple bullet holes in the rear of the truck and that a bullet had entered through the rear window and struck Bennett. Several shell casings were recovered from the roadway.

On November 15, 2016, detectives arrested 41-year-old Robert Henry Campbell Jr., of Charleston, charging him with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Does anyone have information about the shooting or saw activity on Willtown Road that evening?
