In the summer of 2016 a Darlington, South Carolina, household was the scene of a double homicide. On the morning of July 17, a relative found 52-year-old Denise Couplin and her 9-year-old granddaughter Deziyah Davis shot to death inside their home off Bobo Newsome Highway. The house had been ransacked and Couplin’s Cadillac Escalade was later found burned on Birdsnest Road, leading investigators to treat robbery as a possible motive.

Within a day detectives arrested Cephas Cowick, then 23, and Katherine Cowick, then 25. Authorities say they recovered a .380 handgun at the Cowick residence along with pills and a debit card belonging to Couplin. Witnesses reported Cephas Cowick had discussed robbing Couplin and had drawn a layout of her home; investigators also say Couplin had received threatening calls she attributed to him.

What information can anyone with knowledge of the neighborhood or the victims add about movements around Bobo Newsome Highway in mid-July 2016?
