On the early morning of June 18, 2016, 21-year-old Jameleeh Harrison was shot and killed in Walterboro, South Carolina, after mistakenly pulling her vehicle into a shared driveway on Chestnut Road thinking she saw her husband’s car. Marion L. Williams Jr., a 36-year-old resident of the same road, allegedly emerged and began firing at her vehicle. Investigators later reported that Williams and Harrison were strangers. Williams reportedly fled but was apprehended shortly afterward and charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Police records indicate that just hours before Harrison was killed, Williams had been the subject of a domestic violence complaint alleging he assaulted his estranged wife in front of their three children after forcing his way into his mother-in-law’s home. At a magistrate hearing following the murder arrest, bond was set at $50,000 for the firearms charge while the murder charge was to be addressed in General Sessions Court.
Does anyone have information about the case outcome or knew Jameleeh and can share memories or leads?
