Colt Randall Jennings was 24 and worked in construction when he was found dead outside his home on Roger Bolt Road in Belton, South Carolina, on the evening of March 30, 2016. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest from a shotgun.
Investigators focused on 26-year-old Matthew Bryant Skelton, who was acquainted with Jennings. Evidence indicated Skelton had been lying in wait near Jennings’s home, and he later called emergency services to admit to the shooting. Skelton was arrested by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and booked at the Anderson County Detention Center on charges including murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Reports say a recent falling out between the two men was the apparent motive.
If anyone knew Colt, his routines, or the relationship between him and Skelton, please share information that could help clarify what happened.
