On the morning of Sunday, February 21, 2016, the body of 35-year-old Farah Reza Khan of Townville, South Carolina, was found by a fisherman at a public boat ramp on Saluda Lake in Easley. The Pickens County Coroner’s Office identified her and ruled the death a homicide from a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators focused on 22-year-old Kasey Clayton Waldrop of Greenville. Authorities stated Waldrop and Khan were acquainted, and evidence indicated Khan had been driven to the boat ramp and shot with a .45 handgun. Khan’s 2014 Dodge Charger was recovered at a Greenville apartment complex, reportedly crudely disguised with a coat of spray paint.

When officers located Waldrop at the complex he tried to flee on foot and was captured. He was charged with murder, grand larceny, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime; additional charges included possession of a weapon by a felon because he was out on bond for a prior grand larceny charge. Investigators continued to examine cell phone records and social media to reconstruct events.

If anyone knew Farah Khan or saw her Dodge Charger around mid-February 2016, please share what was seen.
