Clarence Berry Holcombe, a 54-year-old White man from Easley, South Carolina, was found dead at his Planters Way home on December 29, 2015. A neighbor who looked through a window saw him unresponsive and called 911 about 12:30 p.m.; deputies forced entry and found him deceased. The Pickens County Coroner ruled the death a single gunshot wound to the chest, and the Sheriff’s Office immediately treated the case as a homicide.
Investigators reported no signs of forced entry, indicating Holcombe may have known the person who entered his home. The firearm used was not recovered. Detectives interviewed friends, relatives, and acquaintances and asked the public for tips, but no arrests have been announced and the case remains unsolved.
Did anyone in the Easley area have information about Clarence’s contacts or movements around late December 2015?
