An April gathering in Sumter, South Carolina, ended in a fatal shooting. On the night of Monday, April 27, 2015, 24-year-old DiQuon Jadar Morgan was at a home in the 300 block of Bowman Drive when police responded after 10 p.m. Officers found Morgan with a gunshot wound to his upper torso; he was taken to Tuomey Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead.
Investigators reported the shooting occurred while a 22-year-old man, Eugene Earl Martin, was showing a semi-automatic handgun to friends. Authorities believe the clip was not in the handgun when it discharged, and the bullet struck Morgan. Martin was taken into custody and charged with involuntary manslaughter and booked at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
Who knew DiQuon or was at that gathering and can add details about what happened that night?
