Robert Bobby L. Troublefield, 61, was found dead in his Dalzell, South Carolina, home on December 24, 2014. A Sumter County Sheriff’s Office autopsy determined he died of multiple gunshot wounds and the death was ruled a homicide.

During the homicide probe, detectives executed a search warrant at a nearby McPhail Street residence and uncovered a large marijuana grow. Deputies arrested 58-year-old Clarence Mack McLaughlin Jr. and his 29-year-old son Clarence Tray McLaughlin III on state drug and weapons charges, including manufacturing marijuana, manufacturing marijuana in proximity to a school, and possession of a stolen firearm. Investigators said some clues from the murder scene were thought to be linked to the McLaughlins’ residence, but no homicide charges were filed against them.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office has provided no further public updates, and no one has been publicly named or arrested for Troublefield’s murder. Does anyone have information about Troublefield, his activities in Dalzell, or the McPhail Street residence that could help investigators?
