Bianca A. Moore was 31 when she was critically wounded by a gunshot to the head during a late-summer 2014 confrontation in the Palmetto area of Darlington County. The incident, described by authorities as a drug deal that turned violent, occurred at a residence on Turner Drive. Bianca remained in critical condition for nearly two weeks and died of her injuries on October 7, 2014.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office identified and arrested several people in connection with the shooting and related drug activity. Two men, 26-year-old Sylvester Lamont Jordan and 30-year-old Damaino Nicholas Thomas, were initially charged with three counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime; those charges were expected to be upgraded after Bianca’s death. Three others — Alonzo Russell Sr., 64, Alonzo T. Russell Jr., 30, and Brice S. Russell, 28 — were arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of crack cocaine.
Anyone with information about the shooting, the events on Turner Drive that night, or Bianca’s life in Florence is asked to share what they know.
