Emery Lorenzo Williams, 64, was shot and killed on the evening of April 2, 2014, while driving home from choir practice in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Williams, the Chief Financial Officer at J.W. Woodward Funeral Home, was speaking with his wife on the phone around 8:45 p.m. when another vehicle approached on Willis Road near the Westside Club fitness center and occupants opened fire. After the initial shots caused his car to crash, the attackers reportedly returned and fired again, and Williams did not survive.

Authorities have described the shooting as senseless and have indicated it appeared to be random; Williams was well known for his faith and community work and reportedly had no apparent enemies. Despite interviews and evidence collected over the years, no suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests announced. A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest, and the family has continued public efforts to keep the case visible.

Did anyone in Spartanburg see or hear anything on Willis Road the night of April 2, 2014, that could help move this investigation forward?
