Christopher Dale Teseniar, Sr. was 20 when he was killed in his Moncks Corner, South Carolina, home in the early morning of November 11, 2007. He was asleep when he was fatally shot in the face and chest at about 4:40 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office. Born in Loris on August 2, 1987, he had attended Goose Creek High School and worked for Action Construction.
Witnesses saw two people leaving Teseniar’s home after the shooting but could not identify them. A cell phone belonging to Michael Jason Maxwell was found at the scene, and investigators were told Maxwell and a co-defendant, Adam Tarpley, believed Teseniar had taken jewelry and pills from them. Inmates later reported Maxwell bragging about the killing while jailed, and Tarpley told authorities he had driven Maxwell to a trailer and heard two gunshots. A second co-defendant, Annette Henderson, was charged as an accessory after the fact for allegedly destroying evidence.
In April 2010 Maxwell pleaded guilty to murder and first-degree burglary; the judge imposed a 60-year term for murder plus a consecutive 25 years for burglary. Does anyone have information about Teseniar’s last known movements or about the two people witnesses saw leaving that morning?
