Edward Pressley Haynesworth, 20, was found dead in the Pinehill AME Zion Church parking lot on U.S. 521 South in Sumter County during the morning of December 10, 2000. He had suffered three gunshot wounds. Investigators reported tire tracks circling his body and unidentified berries on him, and believed he was shot at a different location sometime between the late hours of December 9 and the morning he was found.

In February 2004 a Sumter County grand jury indicted 25-year-old Quinzell Robinson for Haynesworth’s murder; the indictment was linked in the reporting to a stolen Cadillac and a trunk later described as stained with blood. Robinson went to trial in April 2005 before a jury of seven women and five men, with the state beginning to present witnesses.

What details about Haynesworth’s final hours or the evidence in the car would help readers who might have seen something that night come forward?
