Akeem Jamal Garrison, 36, was found dead from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle in the 20th block of Chamber Avenue in Capitol Heights, Maryland, in the early hours of December 31, 2022. Prince George’s County Police were called at about 1:25 a.m.; Garrison was pronounced dead at the scene and the Homicide Unit opened an investigation.

Detectives are working to reconstruct what happened and to determine a motive. No suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been made. Police have offered up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment, and anonymous tips are being accepted.
