Michael Isaiah Olaniyi, 26, was shot and killed in downtown Frederick, Maryland, in the early morning hours of July 23, 2022. A resident of Montgomery Village and a father of two who worked as a truck driver, he was found wounded in a parking lot on North Market Street after a patrol officer heard a gunshot around 3:30 a.m. Officers rendered aid and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators identified a black Maserati Ghibli with a Virginia plate as the vehicle used by the suspects. Authorities named two people in the case: Benjamin Michael Johnson, the Maserati’s owner, who was found in possession of a firearm minutes before the homicide and was arrested on December 22, 2022, on charges including second-degree murder and accessory after the fact to first-degree murder; and Hakeem Earnest Sampson, wanted for first-degree murder and described as the alleged shooter, last known in Washington, D.C., and still at large. Detectives have asked witnesses to come forward.

Does anyone have information about where Hakeem Earnest Sampson might be or who saw the Maserati in Frederick that night?
