On the evening of December 23, 2021, 25-year-old Jahandar Rahman Echalty Darvish was fatally shot inside his apartment on Circle Gate Drive in Germantown, Maryland. Montgomery County police responded after multiple gunshots were reported and found Darvish deceased with several gunshot wounds.

Investigators determined an altercation took place inside the apartment and that seven rounds were fired from two different firearms; three bullets struck Darvish and another round penetrated the floor into the unit below, though no one there was physically hurt. The probe focused on a suspect from Frederick, Maryland, and police later arrested 31-year-old Mario Samm on January 29, 2022. Charges against Samm included first-degree murder and use of a firearm during a violent crime, and social media posts showing Samm with a gun were cited as part of the evidence.

Does anyone have information about Darvish, known as Echalty, or about the events in Germantown that night?
