Kevin Andrew Glendenning was 31 when he was shot and killed inside a Royal Farms on Pulaski Highway in Rosedale, Maryland, during the early morning hours of July 26, 2021. Glendenning, a customer, intervened in the confrontation.

The man who had been called to the store, later identified as Ervin Meeks Jr., left the building and then fired a gun through the locked glass doors, striking Glendenning multiple times in the back and upper body. Glendenning died at the scene and left behind a young son. A clerk had locked the doors in an attempted effort to de-escalate the situation.
