Antoine Lee Riley, 33, of Laurel, Maryland, was fatally shot around 1:00 p.m. on July 24, 2021 in the parking lot of a shopping center in the 13300 block of Laurel Bowie Road. Officers who arrived found Riley with gunshot wounds; emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Detectives identified a 17-year-old male acquaintance as the suspect and say the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the two. The teen was charged as an adult with first- and second-degree murder along with weapons offenses. After an arrest warrant was issued, he was located and taken into custody in Oklahoma and arrangements were made for his extradition to Prince George’s County, Maryland.
