Bernard Savoy, 46, was shot and killed around 6:30 a.m. on a Thursday in April 2021 in the 2300 block of Anvil Lane in the Hillcrest Heights area. Prince George’s County officers found him inside a car with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the shooting did not appear to be random and treated Savoy as a possible targeted victim. The Homicide Unit opened an investigation focused on motive and identifying suspects, but no public details about a motive, persons of interest, or arrests have been released.
