John Woo Young Jang, 66, was working as a clerk at the Food Zone convenience store on Livingston Road in Fort Washington, Maryland, on the afternoon of Monday, January 18, 2021 when an attempted armed robbery escalated and he was shot inside the business. Officers responding to a robbery call at about 1:00 p.m. found him with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators tied the killing to a wider crime spree of armed robberies and carjackings across Maryland and Virginia that occurred between November 2020 and January 2021. Detectives identified four Waldorf residents as suspects: Quasean Reeves, 27; Andron Wood, 37; Keionta Hagens, 40; and Thaddeus Lamont Wills, 47. Each man was charged with first-degree murder and related offenses, and all were held without bond following arrest.

What additional information about the suspects, their movements that day, or witnesses at the Food Zone might help clarify exactly what happened during the robbery?
