Tina Evette Harvey, a 52-year-old Black woman from Riverdale, Maryland, was found inside her car with multiple gunshot wounds on the morning of December 9, 2020. Officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department responded to the 6300 block of 67th Court at about 6:30 a.m.; Harvey was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Detectives identified her ex-boyfriend, 61-year-old Kenneth Aaron Tillery of Clinton, Maryland, as the primary suspect and treated the shooting as a targeted, domestic-related incident. Authorities located and arrested Tillery; he confessed to the shooting and was charged with first- and second-degree murder and other related counts. A court commissioner ordered that he be held at the Department of Corrections without bond.
