A dispute between two acquaintances in Suitland, Maryland, ended with the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Kelvin Alston in the early hours of June 28, 2020. Prince George’s County Police found Alston inside his car on the 2300 block of Brooks Drive at about 3:05 a.m.; he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Within a day police arrested 23-year-old Marcus Wardlaw of nearby Capitol Heights. Authorities say Wardlaw and Alston were known to each other and that the shooting followed an ongoing dispute; police reported Wardlaw admitted involvement. Wardlaw was charged with first- and second-degree murder plus two gun-related offenses and taken into Department of Corrections custody, with an initial court date set for July 29, 2020.
Does anyone have information about Kelvin’s movements in Suitland that night or anything relevant to the dispute between him and Wardlaw?
