Kwame Nkrumah H. Alston, a 40-year-old man, was found shot and later pronounced dead on the evening of October 19, 2019, on Meteor Court in Parkville, Maryland. Baltimore County officers arrived after a report of a shooting at about 9:25 p.m. and discovered Alston near the sidewalk with a gunshot wound; Baltimore County EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives took over the case and in the initial stages were unable to locate a suspect. Police asked the public for help, requesting anyone who saw or heard anything unusual around 9 p.m. that evening to contact investigators. The investigation remains open as authorities continue to seek answers.
