Martino Robert Duffin was 32 when family members, unable to reach him for several days, asked police to do a welfare check at his Kinship Road apartment in Dundalk, Maryland. On March 15, 2019 Baltimore County officers entered the residence and found Duffin with upper‑body trauma; an autopsy later confirmed he died from two close‑range gunshot wounds to the head and ruled the death a homicide.

Surveillance from the apartment building led investigators to identify a nonresident who had gained access. That man, Albert Myron Muldrow of Severn, was arrested and charged with first‑degree murder. Muldrow admitted being in Duffin’s apartment after meeting him through an online chat room for a sexual encounter and said he took some of the victim’s belongings; he denied killing Duffin. At trial a Baltimore County jury convicted Muldrow on eight of nine counts, including first‑degree murder, and a judge later sentenced him to life without parole plus a consecutive 20 years.
