On the evening of Friday, February 8, 2019, 51-year-old Jose Noel Savaria was shot multiple times on the 1800 block of Portship Road in Dundalk, Maryland. Police were called after gunfire was heard at about 8:43 p.m.; Savaria, a resident of that block, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators reported that a suspect fled the area in a late-model car heading toward Holabird Avenue. Motive was not immediately known, and homicide detectives appealed to the public for help identifying a suspect and piecing together what happened.
