Stephen Alexander Frazier, 20, was shot outside on October 23, 2018, in the 12900 block of Churchill Ridge Circle in Germantown, Maryland. First responders arrived about 12:30 a.m.; Frazier was taken to a hospital and later died of his injuries. Friends and family knew him as Stebo or Scoop.
Police quickly identified 18-year-old Valentino Pritchett as a suspect and noted he was wanted in an earlier attempted murder case. Later that evening, around 7:00 p.m., officers found Pritchett in a vehicle near Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road. When officers approached, Pritchett suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead despite immediate aid at the scene. The investigation into Frazier’s homicide remained active after the suspect’s death.
If anyone knew Stephen, his movements that night, or has information about what led to the shooting, please come forward.
