A domestic dispute in Camp Springs, Maryland, ended in a deadly early-morning shooting on June 2, 2018. Officers who responded around 12:50 a.m. to the 6200 block of Maxwell Drive found 35-year-old Damon Palmer of Washington, D.C. outside with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man was also shot and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police arrested 38-year-old Marcus Burns of Camp Springs at the residence. Investigators say Burns, who was the stepfather of Palmer’s biological daughter, shot both men after an argument; Burns admitted his involvement and was charged with first- and second-degree murder and other related counts and held without bond.
Does anyone have information about the people involved or the events that led up to the confrontation?
