On the evening of April 19, 2018, 28-year-old Angelo Dayvon Johnson was shot and killed in Hagerstown, Maryland. The shooting reportedly began after a verbal altercation in which Johnson was accused of making fun of a friend of the eventual suspect; that dispute escalated into fatal violence.
Hagerstown Police identified a teenage suspect, Dakwain Poston, who was 17 at the time, and alleged he fired the shot that killed Johnson. Poston was arrested and charged in connection with the killing; the case then proceeded through the courts.
The motive described by authorities was tied to the earlier verbal exchange. If anyone knew Angelo, saw what happened that night, or has information about the events leading up to the shooting, please come forward and share what is known.
