A 20-year-old man was shot and killed on a Temple Hills street in the early hours of September 27, 2017. Ibrahim Kamara of Upper Marlboro was found outside in the 4000 block of Rocky Mount Drive with gunshot wounds; patrol officers arrived about 12:40 a.m., but his injuries were fatal and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators initially said the motive was unclear but did not believe the shooting was random, and a reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
Homicide detectives later focused on a dispute between Kamara and an acquaintance as the likely catalyst. That investigation led to the arrest on November 17, 2017, of 25-year-old Anthony Stewart of Northeast, D.C.; Stewart was charged with first- and second-degree murder and related counts and was held without bond. Does anyone have information about Kamara, the Rocky Mount Drive area that night, or contacts who might assist with the case?
