On Tuesday afternoon, March 7, 2017, 29-year-old Lafeal Sinclair was shot multiple times in a parking lot in the 3900 block of Suitland Road in Suitland, Maryland. Police arrived about 2:10 p.m.; Sinclair was taken to a nearby hospital but died shortly after arrival.
Investigators identified a drug-related robbery as the apparent motive. Sinclair had arranged to sell a half-pound of marijuana to a man later identified as 24-year-old Charles Romain of Alexandria, Virginia. A witness who had spoken with Sinclair shortly before the shooting told police about the planned transaction. Romain was arrested the same day after a brief chase near the King Street Metro station and was charged with first- and second-degree murder; he was being held in Alexandria pending extradition to Prince George’s County.
Are there readers who knew Sinclair or saw activity in that Suitland area around March 7, 2017, who can share information?
