Christopher Perry was 17 when he was shot and killed inside his Clinton, Maryland home on the evening of Thursday, February 23, 2017. The shooting happened on Buckler Road, where he lived with his mother, Angelique Chase. A relative separated them and went to the basement at Chase’s direction.
Moments later Chase retrieved a revolver from the basement, came back upstairs and shot Christopher once in the chest. Christopher was flown to a hospital but died later that evening. Chase called 911 before 9 p.m., was arrested at the scene, and admitted involvement. She was initially charged with second-degree murder and assault; prosecutors later upgraded the charge to first-degree murder and a grand jury indicted her. Chase told investigators the gun discharged accidentally while she was lowering it, but investigators treated the case as a homicide.
If anyone knew Christopher, his activities, or was in the neighborhood that night, any information could help clarify what happened.
