On the night of February 4, 2017, 26-year-old Miaquita Gray of Lexington Park, Maryland, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Beer 4 U sports bar in Waldorf. Earlier inside the bar an unrelated altercation occurred: Miaquita’s boyfriend, Emmanuel Perkins, was assaulted and robbed by three men in the restroom. As Miaquita and Perkins left the establishment around 1:25 a.m., the men from the earlier incident also exited; when Perkins pointed them out, one of the men, later identified as Anthony Dangelo Wilkins, produced a handgun and began firing. Miaquita was struck in the upper body, taken to a nearby hospital, and pronounced deceased.

Perkins and another man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. It is reported Miaquita was not the intended target of the shooting. Authorities identified Wilkins and Charles Leon Thompson, Jr. as suspects; a warrant was issued for Wilkins, and Thompson arranged to surrender to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

Has anyone with information about Miaquita, her movements that night, or the men involved come forward?
