On the evening of December 5, 2016, 26-year-old Michael Corey Roberts was found outside in the 3200 block of Curtis Drive in Temple Hills, Maryland, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital and died a short time later. Investigators described the shooting as not random and said the motive appeared to be an attempted robbery; a reward of up to $25,000 was announced for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
A week after the killing, on December 12, 2016, Prince George’s County detectives arrested 19-year-old Ernest Deshawn Edwards of Temple Hills and charged him with first- and second-degree murder along with weapons offenses.
If anyone has information about Michael Roberts or the events on Curtis Drive that night, please come forward.
