Brandon Collins, 28, was shot outside the House of Style barbershop on Maplewood Drive in Baton Rouge on Saturday afternoon, December 16, 2017, while with his two children. He stepped into the parking lot to take a phone call and was approached by two men who fired multiple times before fleeing on foot. Emergency services transported Collins to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries; he died there on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.

Witnesses said the attackers tried to leave in a maroon Chevrolet Malibu parked nearby but could not start it, and one of the men was described wearing a red jacket and red pants. Authorities believe the shooting was drug-related and identified at least one suspect; investigators reportedly recovered a red jacket and a gun connected to the case.

If anyone was in the area that afternoon or has information about the maroon Chevrolet Malibu, the red jacket, or the two men seen fleeing, please share what you know.
