On October 30, 2016, 14-year-old Todd James Webb Jr. was fatally shot during a chaotic dice game on the 6800 block of Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights, Maryland. The gathering erupted in gunfire; an initial round killed 18-year-old Brian Davis and scattered the crowd.

Investigators say that after the first shooting, 22-year-old Bravon Michael Freeman went into an apartment, retrieved a handgun, then returned and shot Webb. Witnesses reported Freeman also struck the teenager after shooting him. Six people in total were wounded in the incident; Webb and Davis died of their injuries.

Police identified and arrested Freeman and charged him with first- and second-degree murder in Webb’s death. The investigation into the earlier shooting that killed Brian Davis was described as ongoing and other suspects were being sought. If anyone has information about the dice game or the people present that morning, please come forward.
