Dezarae Warner, 25, was shot multiple times and found in the street in the 2400 block of Washington Avenue in Baton Rouge just before 1:20 a.m. on a Saturday in November 2017. Police say an argument with her ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Nicholas London, escalated into the shooting.
London ran, and he stayed gone for about three months. In early February 2018 a Louisiana State Police task force found him in the Gardere area. He was booked on second-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and illegal use of a weapon.
Dezarae left three young children, now being raised by their grandmother. Her mom remembers her as a comedian who could make anyone laugh. A local nonprofit that had helped the family before made sure the kids had Christmas gifts that year. Has anyone followed what happened with London's case in court?
