Patrick Maurice Dixon, 31, was shot dead in Severn, Maryland, on April 1, 2016, hours after being released from prison and while preparing to attend a homecoming party his sister had arranged. Earlier that day his father had lent him his truck so Dixon could check in with his parole officer; after the meeting he picked out an outfit for the party. An argument in a parking lot in the 8100 block of Meade Village Road ended with a man identified as Daquan Darryl Pack, then 22, shooting Dixon multiple times. Dixon was found bleeding and died at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Police named Pack as the suspect, issued a warrant charging him with first-degree murder and other offenses, and described him as armed and dangerous while he evaded capture for about a month. Several witnesses identified Pack as the shooter. Pack was later arrested, convicted by an Anne Arundel County Circuit Court jury of first-degree murder and related handgun charges, and in July 2017 was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
If anyone knew Patrick, was at the Meade Village Road parking lot that day, or has information about the shooting, please share what is known.
