On a Friday afternoon in May 2014 a workplace dispute in Dayton, Maryland ended with 31-year-old Rodolfo Miguel Cervantes of Hyattsville found shot to death inside an outbuilding on the 4900 block of Ten Oaks Road. Howard County Police were called after reports of gunfire and a witness said Cervantes and a coworker had a brief argument just before shots were fired; the witness also reported Cervantes had been drinking before the confrontation.

Investigators identified a coworker, 36-year-old Ismael Guerra Vasquez of Hyattsville, as the suspect. A witness reported Vasquez fled the scene in a Nissan Altima; that description led to a traffic stop on Ten Oaks Road within about 90 minutes. The driver was taken into custody, a witness positively identified Guerra-Vasquez as the shooter, and four spent shell casings were found in his possession. He was charged in connection with the shooting and held without bond.

Did anyone who worked at the greenhouse or lived nearby know Rodolfo Cervantes or have information about what led to that confrontation?
