A family visit on the evening of New Year’s Day 2014 in Clinton, Maryland, ended in homicide. At about 9:00 p.m. patrol officers were called to a home in the 9100 block of Goldfield Place and found 52-year-old Raymond Quattlebaum inside with apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators tied the killing to a domestic dispute. Authorities identified 38-year-old D’Juan Renay Hunter, the son of Quattlebaum’s fiancée and a resident of Southeast Washington, as the suspect. According to the preliminary investigation, Hunter went to the Goldfield Place home to visit family, a confrontation with Quattlebaum occurred, and Hunter shot him. Hunter fled but was located and arrested in Bowie in the early morning hours of January 2, 2014, and was charged with first-degree murder and related offenses.
Does anyone have information about that household or the events that led to the confrontation?
